As fellow Americans, we recognized the challenges with accessing relevant information and data necessary to understand and evaluate today’s pressing issues, many of which are shaped by policy. This trend has left many of us silent and unengaged.
We decided to make a difference by helping refocus the American conversation with facts-first, 360° perspectives.

Kristina Grisham
Community Outreach Liaison
Kristina Grisham serves as the Community Outreach Liaison at Everything Policy where she focuses on building authentic relationships with communities and ensuring that public policy feels accessible, relevant, and inclusive to all. With a background in multi-store management, Kristina gained hands-on experience in leadership, operations, and team development. Her professional path later led her to one of the most rewarding roles as mom to her two young children, now ages 2 and 4. That experience fuels her commitment to family-centered policy and real-world solutions that resonate with working parents and caregivers. At Everything Policy, Kristina brings empathy, organization, and a strong community voice to her work.

Erica Bookman
Education Content Lead
Erica Bookman is an experienced high school educator with 18 years of teaching expertise, specializing in AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Comparative Government, AP U.S. History, and Cambridge U.S. History. She has built a distinguished career as a dedicated educator and an integral member of the College Board community, serving as a reader and exam leader for AP U.S. Government for over a decade. Erica has also contributed to the College Board as a mentor for AP U.S. History, an independent contractor authoring exam questions, and as a consultant, helping to shape educational resources and assessments. Her passion for education and commitment to student success are reflected in her ongoing work to enhance AP programs and curriculum nationwide.

Lee Carpenter
Grant Writing
Since 1980 Lee Carpenter has been working with faculty and interdisciplinary faculty teams on funding searches and approaches to funders, proposal development, and proposal submission. She has both participated in and coordinated the development of large-scale research proposals for NSF and NIH centers and training programs, including identifying potential partners and related resources that would strengthen a proposal's funding potential. She has worked on successful proposals to the Pew Charitable Trusts, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and W. T. Grant Foundation, among others.

Debbie McManus
Director of Operations
As the Director of Operations at Everything Policy, Debbie oversees the nonprofit's initiatives to research and publish nonpartisan policy content that educates and engages the public. With experience in nonprofit management and community affairs, she is dedicated to making policy issues accessible and understandable for all audiences. Her previous roles have included community outreach and support in educational settings, reinforcing her commitment to impactful public service.

Kim Owens
Education Content Lead
Kim Owens has been teaching AP United States Government and Politics at Shaker Heights High School since 2002. She has been involved with the AP Reading since 2003 and most recently has served as the Assistant to the Chief Reader. She is a former member of the Curriculum Design and Assessment Committee, as well as a former member of the Test Development Committee for both the legacy and resigned AP Exams. Currently she provides support to AP teachers as an endorsed consultant for the College Board. She is a contributing author for the first AP edition of American Politics and Government Today published by Norton.

Robert Holahan
Research Content Lead
Robert Holahan is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Binghamton University (SUNY), where his teaching and research focuses on environmental policy and economics. He earned his PhD in Political Science at Indiana University, working with Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom, and his MA and BA in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis. He enjoys camping in the Adirondacks with his dog and wife, and is a big fan of the Minnesota Twins.

Research Director
Dr. William Bianco received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Rochester. He is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Indiana Political Analytics Workshop at Indiana University. His current research is on representation, political identities, and the politics of scientific research.

As an honorary board member of Everything Policy, Jon brings extensive experience in public service, having served as Deputy County Executive for Suffolk County and Special Advisor to Governor Cuomo during the Superstorm Sandy recovery effort. With a background in local government and law, he is dedicated to promoting accessible policy education and fostering informed civic engagement. His commitment to community development is rooted in his years of leadership in various governmental roles, including Town Supervisor of North Hempstead. Jon earned his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School and a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard.

Lindsey Cormack
Board Member
As a board member of Everything Policy, Lindsey Cormack, PhD, brings a long-standing commitment to enhancing public understanding of political processes and civic engagement. Her scholarly work includes the creation of DCInbox, a comprehensive digital archive of Congress-to-constituent e-newsletters and she is the author of notable works such as How to Raise a Citizen (And Why It’s Up to You to Do It) and Congress and U.S. Veterans: From the GI Bill to the VA Crisis. Lindsey is motivated by a desire to bridge the gaps between academia, citizen know-how, and real-world policy impact. She collaborates extensively with schools, community groups, and parent organizations all with an aim of increasing our collective civic capacity.

Wesley serves as a dedicated board member of Everything Policy, committed to fostering collaboration by providing unbiased, factual information for public benefit. With over 30 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Wesley has a proven track record of building and scaling global organizations across the wireless, technology (SaaS), and next-generation outsourcing industries. Passionate about mentoring and empowering others, Wesley actively supports a variety of charitable initiatives, including organizations aiding veterans and underserved victims of crime in the United States. His dedication to service and development drives his work both within Everything Policy and beyond.
